Executive Director
Jothan C. Mmuozoba is the Executive Director of Programs at SOREX, bringing over two decades of experience designing and managing donor-supported initiatives across human rights, social justice, peacebuilding, and environmental sustainability.
With an academic background in Environmental Studies, he has co-led programs with international partners including the European Commission, the ECOWAS Commission, the United States Department of State, and several UN agencies and private philanthropic foundations.
As Co-Convener of the African Forum for Humanitarian and Emergency Response (AfricaForHER), Jothan has extensive experience coordinating regional and multi-actor initiatives that bridge community-level evidence with policy dialogue, market learning, and institutional reform. He is also the founder of ClimateWise Africa – a platform for sharing evidence and enabling dialogue around innovative financing for climate adaptation and resilience.
His current work focuses on market-based solutions that rebuild Africa’s resilience to climate shocks.
