Accountability & Safeguarding

The people we work with are entitled to safety, dignity and respect in every interaction with SOREX. These are the commitments that protect that.

Our Code of Conduct

Every employee, consultant, volunteer and Board member is bound by a Code of Conduct covering integrity, professionalism, respect, accountability, transparency and non-discrimination. It is signed on joining and renewed annually.

Safeguarding

SOREX operates a zero-tolerance policy on all forms of abuse, exploitation and harassment — including sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, child abuse, bullying, discrimination and abuse of power. Reporting suspected harm is a duty, not an option, for everyone associated with the organisation.

Report a concern

If you have witnessed or experienced conduct that breaches our standards, you can report it — and you will be protected for doing so.

Reports may be made to a supervisor, to the Executive Director, or to the Chair of the Board where the concern involves the Executive Director. Anonymous reports are accepted. Nobody who reports a concern in good faith will face retaliation, discrimination or adverse treatment of any kind.
