About SOREX-NIGERIA
Society for the Rights of the Excluded and Disempowered (SOREX-NIGERIA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to defending human rights and advancing social justice in Nigeria and across Africa. We work with communities, civil society actors, and policy makers to protect the dignity, rights, and voices of people who are often left behind, marginalized, or silenced.

At SOREX-NIGERIA, we believe that gender justice is central to human rights and social progress. Across all our work—whether in humanitarian response, climate action, natural resource governance, or technology advancement—we place a strong emphasis on ending gender inequalities and preventing Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Our programs intentionally highlight the voices of women, girls, and gender-diverse groups, ensuring their perspectives and needs drive meaningful and lasting change
Our Vision
SOREX envisions a world where all people - including women, girls and other historically excluded populations - engage peacefully and effectively in making decisions that affect their own lives and their communities.
To defend human rights, advance gender and social justice, and promote inclusive solutions in contexts of humanitarian crisis, environmental management, technological advancement, and natural resource governance in Nigeria and the West African Region.
